Lineamientos para la adaptación de la oferta turística frente a la erosión costera en la comunidad y Parque Nacional Cahuita, Limón, Costa Rica

Abstract

La presente investigación pretende desarrollar una serie de lineamientos para la adaptación de la oferta turística frente a la erosión costera en la comunidad y el Parque Nacional Cahuita, para lo cual se dividió en tres partes. Primeramente, se identificaron los recursos y la oferta turística a partir de una revisión bibliográfica y su debida comprobación en campo. En la segunda parte, se determinó si la erosión costera está causando un impacto o no sobre la oferta turística, esto se realizó a partir de la aplicación de instrumentos en campo, denominadas fichas de afectación de los recursos turísticos, estas se llevaron a cabo a lo largo de la línea de costa de playa Negra hasta Puerto Vargas ubicado en las inmediaciones del parque. Además, se realizó un taller participativo para conocer la percepción de las personas sobre si existe o no impacto de la erosión sobre la oferta turística. Los resultados mostraron que se ha dado afectación sobre los recursos turísticos y la infraestructura alrededor y dentro del parque, pero las personas no perciben afectación sobre la oferta turística. En la tercera parte se propusieron una serie de lineamientos para la adaptación de la oferta turística a partir de la realización de una matriz de priorización e instrumentos en la cual se analizaron siete afectaciones basado en los resultados de la segunda parte. Con esto, se propusieron 11 lineamientos para aplicar en el área de estudio previendo su costo, viabilidad, factibilidad, tiempo de ejecución, así como los responsables por realizarlos.

This research aims to develop a series of guidelines for the adaptation of the tourism offer in the face of coastal erosion in the community and Cahuita National Park, for which it was divided into three parts. First, the resources and tourism offerings were identified based on a literature review and field verification. In the second part, it was determined whether or not coastal erosion is causing an impact on tourism. This was done through the application of field instruments called tourist resource impact sheets, which were carried out along the coastline from Playa Negra to Puerto Vargas, located near the park. In addition, a participatory workshop was held to learn people's perceptions about whether or not erosion is having an impact on the tourism offerings. The results showed that tourism resources and infrastructure around and inside the park have been affected, but people do not perceive any impact on tourism. In the third part, a series of guidelines were proposed for the adaptation of the tourism offer based on the realization of a prioritization matrix and instruments in which seven effects were analyzed based on the results of the second part. With this, 11 guidelines were proposed to be applied in the study area, foreseeing their cost, viability, feasibility, execution time, as well as those responsible for carrying them out.
