Abstract

Presentación: la Comisión de Vicerrectores de Extensión y Acción Social de CONARE convocó hace algunas semanas a la realización del II TALLER INTERUNIVERSITARIO DE EXTENSIÓN. Como acciones preparatorias para ese evento que se efectuaría 14 de junio del 2000, realizamos en nuestra Universidad varios talleres con extensionistas e integramos cinco comisiones de trabajo que prepararon sus aportes para la actividad. Para contribuir con la labor acordada utilizamos varios materiales de apoyo, entre los cuales destacó la organización, por área temática prioritaria, de los proyectos integrados y de extensión que se están ejecutando con el fin de que las comisiones tuvieran una idea clara tanto de lo que se trabaja en su área como en las otras de nuestra institución. El taller interuniversitario no se realizó en el marco del CONARE por razones que estuvieron fuera del control de la Universidad Nacional, mas a nosotros nos pareció inadecuado suspender el proceso de reflexión interna que se había generado. Continuamos con el taller al interior de la UNA, decidimos ampliar en número de participantes y compartir por este medio parte del material que habíamos preparado para las comisiones. En 1998, la Dirección de Extensión distribuyó un material semejante para el conocimiento de la comunidad universitaria. Por lo tanto, este nuevo documento permite además de conocer lo que estamos haciendo en este campo, mostrar la evolución del quehacer institucional en esta área. Presentation: The Commission of Vice Rectors of Extension and Social Action of CONARE called a few weeks ago for the II INTER-UNIVERSITY WORKSHOP ON EXTENSION. As preparatory actions for this event to be held on June 14, 2000, we carried out several workshops with extensionists in our University and integrated five work commissions that prepared their contributions for the activity. In order to contribute to the agreed work, we used several support materials, among which the organization, by priority thematic area, of the integrated and extension projects that are being executed so that the commissions would have a clear idea of what is being worked on in their area as well as in the other areas of our institution. The inter-university workshop was not held within the framework of CONARE for reasons beyond the control of the National University, but it seemed inappropriate to us to suspend the process of internal reflection that had been generated. We continued with the workshop inside the UNA, decided to increase the number of participants and to share some of the material we had prepared for the commissions. In 1998, the Extension Office distributed similar material for the knowledge of the university community. Therefore, this new document allows not only to know what we are doing in this field, but also to show the evolution of the institutional work in this area.
