Informe de encuesta "Percepción sobre las islas en Costa Rica y las condiciones de vida de sus pobladores" [Presentación de diapositivas]

Abstract

La presentación de diapositivas titulada “Percepción sobre las islas en Costa Rica y las condiciones de vida de sus pobladores” fue elaborada por el equipo investigador del Programa Interdisciplinario Costero (PIC) del Instituto de Estudios Sociales en Población (IDESPO) de la Universidad Nacional (UNA). La encuesta que da sustento a este trabajo se realizó mediante llamadas telefónicas a lineas celulares, en el Centro Tecnológico de Investigación Social (CETIS) del IDESPO, entre el 1 y 2, y del 4 al 9 de septiembre de 2023, bajo la supervisión de personal especializado. El cuestionario aplicado constó de 18 ítems relacionados con aspectos socioculturales, políticos, económicos y ambientales, así como con variables sociodemográficas (sexo, edad, nivel de escolaridad y características económicas del hogar). El objetivo central de la investigación fue analizar la percepción de la población costarricense sobre las islas y las condiciones de vida de quienes las habitan, con el fin de visibilizar estas realidades y contribuir a su reconocimiento.The slide presentation titled “Perceptions of Costa Rica’s islands and the living conditions of their inhabitants” was prepared by the research team of the Interdisciplinary Coastal Program (PIC) at the Institute for Social Studies on Population (IDESPO) of the National University (UNA). The survey underpinning this study was conducted by telephone at IDESPO’s Center for Social Research Technology (CETIS) on September 1–2 and 4–9, 2023, under the supervision of specialized staff. The questionnaire consisted of 18 items covering sociocultural, political, economic, and environmental aspects, as well as sociodemographic variables (sex, age, education level, and household economic characteristics). The study’s primary objective was to analyze the Costa Rican population's perceptions regarding the islands and the living conditions of their inhabitants, with the aim of highlighting these realities and fostering their recognition.
