Resumen
Lo que se está viviendo con respecto
al covid-19 es inédito y tendrá serias
repercusiones sociales y económicas a nivel
mundial. Este nuevo coronavirus estalló en
Wuhan (China) en diciembre de 2019 y fue
declarado “pandemia” el 11 de marzo de
2020. Al 31 de marzo el número de casos
confirmados superó los 800 mil y la cantidad
de personas fallecidas, las 44 mil.
En Costa Rica, el primer caso se presentó el
6 de marzo y, 25 días después (31 de marzo)
ya sumaban los 347. Se espera que conforme
pasen los días la cantidad de personas que
contraen la enfermedad aumente, sin tener
claridad sobre cuándo se alcanzará el máximo
crecimiento; todo dependerá del efecto de
las medidas aplicadas por el gobierno y de la
responsabilidad con que la población asuma
este evento.

This new coronavirus broke out in Wuhan (China) in December 2019 and was declared a "pandemic" on March 11, 2020. As of March 31, the number of cases confirmed exceeded 800 thousand and the amount of deceased persons, 44 thousand. In Costa Rica, the first case was presented on March 6 and 25 days later (March 31) they already numbered 347.
