Resumen
El documento que se presenta a contiene no solo un somero informe de los lineamientos generales que guiaran la investigación en la Escuela de Historia en los próximos cinco años, según lo establece el “Plan Quinquenal” elaborados meses atrás, sino que, además, procura incluir aquellas innovaciones incorporadas fundamentalmente en la reestructuración de los planes de estudio aprobada recientemente. Con ello se pretende consolidar, a partir de 1980, la posición de “columna vertebral” que ha venido ocupando la investigación en la formación de los futuros profesionales de la ciencia histórica. Los objetivos planteados para el programa docente en la Escuela de Historia intentan definir uno de los aspecto indispensable del quehacer de todo profesor y estudiante universitario. Como la docencia debe orientarse hacia el cumplimiento de los fines y funciones de nuestra Universidad, se comprende por docencia, aquellas actividades creativas de profesores y estudiantes que tienden a ofrecer respuestas científicas al conjunto de aspiraciones históricas de la sociedad costarricense, es decir, se trata de lograr una formación integral de historiadores profesionales para que busquen alternativas de transformación de nuestra sociedad.
The document presented contains not only a brief report of the general guidelines that will guide research in the School of History in the next five years, as established by the “Five Year Plan” prepared months ago, but also seeks to include those innovations fundamentally incorporated in the recently approved restructuring of the study plans. This aims to consolidate, since 1980, the position of “backbone” that research has been occupying in the training of future professionals of historical science. The objectives set for the teaching program at the School of History attempt to define one of the indispensable aspects of the work of every university professor and student. Since teaching must be oriented towards the fulfillment of the purposes and functions of our University, teaching is understood as those creative activities of professors and students that tend to offer scientific responses to the set of historical aspirations of Costa Rican society, that is, it is to achieve comprehensive training of professional historians so that they seek alternatives to transform our society.
