Romero explained that there have been two great moments: a first wave that was very benevolent, but that proportionally sent a greater number of people to the intensive care units (ICU), if compared to the current wave, in which there are many cases, but with a smaller number of people hospitalized in the ICU; although with a dangerous increase. "In the first part of the second wave, many cases had to be added up to equal the number of deaths that occurred in the first epidemic phase".
