Paragonimiasis: ciclo, diagnóstico y tratamiento

Abstract

Cápsula divulgativa producida en el marco de CONARE Investiga en la que la Dra. Gaby Dolz, coordinadora del proyecto FES “Búsqueda de antígenos para el inmunodiagnóstico de la paragonimiasis en Costa Rica: una zoonosis alimentaria que puede ser letal” y coordinadora del Laboratorio de Zoonosis y Entomología de la Escuela de Medicina Veterinaria de la Universidad Nacional (UNA), explica aspectos esenciales de la paragonimiasis. El video presenta, de manera accesible, elementos clave sobre el ciclo del parásito, los desafíos para su diagnóstico y abordajes generales de tratamiento, destacando la importancia de mejorar herramientas diagnósticas para fortalecer la vigilancia y el reconocimiento oportuno de esta enfermedad tropical desatendida.
