La importancia de que Costa Rica y Dinamarca impulsen el BOGA

Abstract

La próxima cumbre del clima o reunión del Panel Intergubernamental de Cambio Climático (IPCC), conocida como COP26, se llevará a cabo del 31 de octubre al 12 de noviembre de 2021, en Glasgow, Escocia. En esta se continuará discutiendo cómo hacer para transformar los sistemas productivos y de consumo dominantes para reducir las emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero (GEI) que impactan la atmósfera, aumentan la temperatura y generan el cambio climático. Es cada vez más evidente que la supervivencia humana y del planeta, como la conocemos, requiere de nuevas fuentes de energía a precios manejables y que se debe aumentar el compromiso y la inversión sobre todo de los países emisores neto para mitigar e investigar alternativas.

The next climate summit or meeting of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), known as COP26, will take place from 31 October to 12 November 2021, in Glasgow, Scotland. This will continue to discuss how to transform the dominant production and consumption systems to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions that impact the atmosphere, increase temperature and generate climate change. It is becoming increasingly clear that the survival of the planet and of humans, as we know it, requires new sources of energy at manageable prices and that the commitment and investment, especially of net emitting countries, must be increased to mitigate and investigate alternatives.
