Resumen
La encuesta “Percepción de la población costarricense y extranjera sobre temas ambientales en el país, 2023”, estuvo a cargo del equipo investigador del Programa Horizontes Ambientales, del Instituto de Estudios Sociales en Población (IDESPO), de la Universidad Nacional (UNA), y se levantó en el Centro Tecnológico de Investigación Social (CETIS) del IDESPO vía telefónica, del 29 de septiembre al 10 de octubre del 2023, bajo la supervisión de su personal. El objetivo de esta encuesta fue recolectar información sobre la percepción de la población costarricense para describir qué piensan las personas entrevistadas sobre las percepciones del cambio climático, de El Niño Oscilación del Sur (ENOS) y de la gobernanza del agua. El cuestionario empleado para este estudio estuvo conformado por 15 preguntas, asociadas a las variables temáticas antes mencionadas; al mismo tiempo, se incluyen algunas variables de tipo sociodemográficas como sexo, edad y nivel de escolaridad, que permiten describir las características de la población encuestada.
The survey “Perception of the Costa Rican and foreign population on environmental issues in the country, 2023” was conducted by the research team of the Environmental Horizons Program, of the Institute of Social Studies in Population (IDESPO), of the National University (UNA), and was conducted at the Technological Center for Social Research (CETIS) of IDESPO by telephone, from September 29 to October 10, 2023, under the supervision of its staff. The objective of this survey was to collect information on the perception of the Costa Rican population to describe what the people interviewed think about the perceptions of climate change, El Niño Southern Oscillation (ENSO) and water governance. The questionnaire used for this study consisted of 15 questions, associated with the aforementioned thematic variables; at the same time, some sociodemographic variables such as sex, age and level of education are included, which allow describing the characteristics of the population surveyed.
