Presentación : ideas en torno al desarrollo del Departamento de Filosofía. 1982-1985

Abstract

Las reflexiones siguientes tienen como propósito primordial suscitar la discusión en torno al Departamento de Filosofía y su próximo futuro. Deben, entonces, entenderse no como una elaboración acabada sino como un conjunto de ideas abiertas y, por ello, susceptibles de ampliación, corrección y crítica. Con ellas pretendo dar respuesta al significativo grupo de compañeros que me han lanzado el reto de conducir el Departamento. No creo, en todo caso, cubrir en ellas la totalidad de los problemas ni señalar los pasos específicos de acción. Esa tarea es más fruto colectivo, solidario que individual. En ese sentido, espero contar con la colaboración general para fortalecer, consolidar y elevar cualitativamente la presencia del Departamento en la Universidad Nacional y en Costa Rica.The following reflections are primarily intended to spark discussion around the Department of Philosophy and its near future. They must, then, be understood not as a finished elaboration but as a set of open ideas and, therefore, susceptible to expansion, correction and criticism. With them I intend to respond to the significant group of colleagues who have launched the challenge of leading the Department. I do not believe, in any case, that they cover all the problems or indicate the specific steps of action. This task is more a collective fruit, solidarity than individual. In this sense, I hope to count on general collaboration to strengthen, consolidate and qualitatively raise the presence of the Department at the National University and in Costa Rica.
