Informe de encuesta: "Percepción de la ciudadanía costarricense respecto al proceso electoral" Febrero 2026

Abstract

Esta encuesta se realizó del 3 al 10 de febrero de 2026. Fue coordinada por el equipo investigador del Programa Umbral Político, del IDESPO, de la Universidad Nacional (UNA), y se ejecutó presencialmente en el laboratorio del Centro Tecnológico de Investigación Social (CETIS) del IDESPO. La recolección de datos se realizó vía telefónica, a cargo de un equipo de estudiantes encuestadores que laboró en las estaciones de trabajo del laboratorio CETIS, con el apoyo de personal de supervisión técnica y académica del CETIS y del Programa Umbral Político. El objetivo de esta encuesta fue describir las percepciones de la población costarricense de dieciocho años o más, inscrita en el Padrón Electoral del Tribunal Supremo de Elecciones (TSE), sobre la cultura y participación electoral en Costa Rica en el contexto de las elecciones nacionales de 2026.

This survey was conducted from February 3 to 10, 2026. It was coordinated by the research team of the Programa Umbral Político (Political Threshold Program) at IDESPO, National University (UNA), and was carried out in person at the laboratory of IDESPO’s Center for Social Research Technology (CETIS). Data collection was conducted via telephone by a team of student interviewers working at the CETIS laboratory workstations, supported by technical and academic supervisory staff from CETIS and the Programa Umbral Político. The objective of this survey was to describe the perceptions held by the Costa Rican population aged eighteen and older registered on the Supreme Electoral Tribunal (TSE) electoral roll regarding electoral culture and participation in Costa Rica within the context of the 2026 national elections.
