La negociación del FEES en medio de la Pandemia del COVID-19 (I parte)

Abstract

Ante la crisis sanitaria, económica y social que ha provocado el COVID-19, la posibilidad real de tener más recursos para la Universidad provenientes del Estado, ya sea a través del FEES o mediante otras leyes específicas, es poco probable y lejana. Las universidades tendrán un techo en su crecimiento real y debido a la crisis, probablemente un deterioro aún mayor en la relación FEES a PIB, tal como se ha venido dando desde 2016.

Given the health, economic and social crisis caused by COVID-19, the real possibility of having more resources for the University from the State, either through the FEES or through other specific laws, is unlikely and distant. Universities will have a ceiling in their real growth and due to the crisis, probably an even greater deterioration in the FEES to GDP ratio, as it has been happening since 2016.
