Reflexiones: Un año de cambios

Abstract

Si bien ya sabíamos que el fenómeno del COVID-19 estaba afectando los países de Asía y Europa desde noviembre del 2019, fue hasta marzo del 2020 que iniciaron, abiertamente, los efectos de la Pandemia en Costa Rica. Así fue como iniciamos un año de cierre, de temores y, sobre todo, de cambios en nuestra forma de vivir. El país se enfrentó a múltiples ajustes en su forma habitual, los sectores de turismo, transportes, comercio, educación y recreación cultural fueron los más afectados con los cierres. Poco a poco, fuimos enfrentando los miedos y fuimos saliendo avante con nuevas e innovadoras formas de responder ante los cambios sociales y económicos.Although we already knew that the COVID-19 phenomenon was affecting the countries of Asia and Europe from November 2019, it was until March 2020 that the effects of the Pandemic in Costa Rica began, openly. That was how we began a year of closure, of fears and, above all, of changes in our way of living. The country faced multiple adjustments in its usual form, the sectors of tourism, transport, trade, education and cultural recreation were the most affected by the closures. Little by little, we faced our fears and came out ahead with new and innovative ways to respond to social and economic changes.
