The call for attention made by the parasitologist Ana Jiménez, from the School of Veterinary Medicine of the National University (EMV-UNA), in a research conducted in 2015, on the finding of zoonotic gastrointestinal parasites (PGI) in canine feces in 15 recreational parks in the country, seems to go unnoticed in the Ala- juela center, since a recent study (2016) shows that there has been no substantial change.
