Estudio revela un proceso de envejecimiento saludable en el país

Abstract

Una investigación realizada por la Escuela de Psicología y el Instituto de Estudios Sociales en Población (Idespo) de la Universidad Nacional (UNA), con personas mayores de 50 años, encontró altas puntuaciones asociadas con el envejecimiento saludable, y con otras variables relacionadas como participación social, realización de actividades significativas y satisfactorias para la vida personal, integración en redes sociales que valoran como positivas y un estado de bienestar positivo. Este comportamiento se presentó independientemente de la zona de residencia donde se realizó el estudio, pero no se debe generalizar este hallazgo para todo el país.

An investigation carried out by the School of Psychology and the Institute of Social Studies in Population (Idespo) of the National University (UNA), with people over 50 years old, found high scores associated with healthy aging, and with other variables related such as social participation, carrying out meaningful and satisfactory activities for personal life, integration in social networks that they value as positive and a status positive wellness. This behavior is presented regardless of the area of residence where the study was conducted, but not this finding should be generalized to the entire country.
