Informe: Percepción sobre las islas en Costa Rica y las condiciones de vida de sus pobladores

Abstract

Este informe de encuesta contiene información sobre “Percepción sobre las islas en Costa Rica y las condiciones de vida sobre sus pobladores” que estuvo a cargo del equipo investigador del Programa Interdisciplinario Costero del Instituto de Estudios Sociales en Población (IDESPO) de la Universidad Nacional (UNA). En este esfuerzo por alcanzar su reconocimiento, el PIC impulsó el desarrollo de la presente encuesta, de manera que permita hacer visible la percepción que tienen las personas sobre las islas en Costa Rica y las condiciones de vida sobre sus pobladores. Este estudio se levantó en el Centro Tecnológico de Investigación Social (CETIS) del IDESPO, mediante la vía telefónica del 1 al 2 y del 4 al 9 de septiembre de 2023, bajo la supervisión de su personal altamente calificado. El objetivo de esta encuesta fue analizar las percepciones que tienen las personas sobre las islas en Costa Rica y las condiciones de vida sobre sus pobladores.El cuestionario empleado para este estudio estuvo conformado por 18 ítems, asociados a las variables temáticas relacionadas con aspectos socioculturales, políticos, económicos y ambientales, también se incluyen algunas variables más descriptivas de índole sociodemográficas como sexo, edad, nivel de escolaridad, aspectos económicos del hogar, las que permiten describir las características de la población encuestada.

This survey report contains information on "Perception of the islands in Costa Rica and the living conditions of their inhabitants", which was conducted by the research team of the Coastal Interdisciplinary Program of the Institute of Social Studies in Population (IDESPO) of the National University (UNA). In this effort to achieve recognition, the CIP promoted the development of this survey, in order to make visible the perception that people have about the islands in Costa Rica and the living conditions of their inhabitants. This study was conducted at the IDESPO's Technological Center for Social Research (CETIS), by telephone from September 1 to 2 and from September 4 to 9, 2023, under the supervision of its highly qualified staff. The objective of this survey was to analyze the perceptions that people have about the islands in Costa Rica and the living conditions of their inhabitants. The questionnaire used for this study consisted of 18 items, associated with thematic variables related to sociocultural, political, economic and environmental aspects, and also included some more descriptive variables of a sociodemographic nature such as sex, age, level of schooling, economic aspects of the household, which allow describing the characteristics of the surveyed population.
