Efecto comercial de los tratados de libre comercio de Canadá y Chile con Costa Rica mediante indicadores comerciales: el caso del sector agrícola e industrial costarricense

Resumen
El presente documento analiza los efectos comerciales de los tratados de libre comercio de Canadá y Chile con Costa Rica en los sectores agrícola e industrial costarricense. El centro de la investigación tiene se centra en el estudio de indicadores de posición y dinamismo comercial, herramientas estadísticas que ofrecen un amplio panorama sobre la situación comercial de un país. Como complemento al análisis de indicadores comerciales, se dedica un apartado al examen de los procesos de negociación comercial llevados a cabo previo a la suscripción de los acuerdos, a la vez que se dedica otra sección al estudio de la dinámica competitiva de los sectores agrícolas e industrial en el marco de estos convenios. En la sección final de conclusiones y recomendaciones se plantea que el patrón comercial para los sectores industrial y agrícola desde la entrada en vigor de tales acuerdos ha sido con flujos comerciales volátiles e inestables, obstaculizando el aprovechamiento del potencial de estos mercados.
This material analyzes the commercial effects of the free trade agreements of Canada and Chile with Costa Rica in the Costa Rican agricultural and industrial sectors. The center of the document focuses on the study of position indicators and commercial dynamism, statistical tools that provide an overview of the commercial situation of a country. As a complement to the analysis of commercial indicators, a section is dedicated to the examination of the commercial negotiation processes carried out prior to the signing of the agreements, while another section is dedicated to the study of the competitive dynamics of the agricultural and industrial sectors within these agreements. In the final section, it is said that commercial pattern for the industrial and agricultural sectors since the entry into force of such agreements has been with volatile and unstable trade flows preventing the country from reaching the potential of these markets.
