Resumen
Los agentes rickettsiales comprenden los incluidos en los géneros Anaplasma,
Ehrlichia y Rickettsia. Estos representan importantes patógenos trasmitidos por
vectores, principalmente pulgas y garrapatas, (Figura 1) que son común en
perros y gatos.
Pueden provocar desde cuadros clínicamente inaparentes hasta severos y
potencialmente fatales. Algunos signos clínicos que ocasionan son fiebre,
letargia, mialgia, epistaxis, petequias y equimosis
