Vigilar el período de gestación, mejorar el plano nutricional y estar al tanto del desarrollo del útero y de los primeros meses de vida de las terneras traerá una serie de beneficios productivos a largo plazo. Así lo
determinó un estudio de Jorge Elizondo, director de la Estación Experimental Alfredo Volio Mata de la Universidad de Costa Rica (UCR), presentado en el 35.o Congreso Mundial de Medicina Veterinaria, realizado en el país.
