The analisys of the situation experienced by the inhabitants of Nicaragua during the recently passed electoral process, which entails a bibliographical, written and documentary research, interviews with participants and survivors in our country, it is intended to highlight the background that migrations have generated. Of these citizens to the country, which have been carried out for decades, since Costa Rica is presented as a hopeful destination for improving their quality of life, mainly due to the employment they have acquired in agricultural, livestock, trade and services of various kinds. This increase in the migratory flow has been constant during the las 30 years, due to the proximity of both countries, providing important labor form those tasks that national citizens are not interested in doing, mainly due to their high level of schooling and the modernization of production processes, mainly manufacturing.Nicaraguans consider this job opportunity to repay remittances to their relatives in their place of origin, due to the increase in poverty and the lack of study and work opportunities for them and their descendants.
