En este articulo se
Reflexiona sobre el uso del
agua en servicios y actividades
propias del turismo de
sol y playa en regiones secas
como Guanacaste, en el pacífico norte de Csota Rica
Para entender la relacion
que se establece entre la actividad
turistica y el consumo
de agua, se utiliza el concepto
de huella hidrica. Se
discuten las implicaciones
de este modelo de consumo
especialmente en ambientes
secos, donde se depende de
la extraccion subterranea
del recurso hidrico. La informacion
proviene de fuentes
secundarias. El proposito de
este articulo es aportar a las
discusiones que estan realizando
diversos actores en la
zona sobre el uso del agua en
ambientes secos y como esto
debiera manifestarse en politicas
publicas que guien la
gestion del agua.
