No
Recent data indicate that, by October 2022, the number of people infected with monkeypox in 105 countries exceeds 70,000 and Costa Rica is no exception, having registered eight cases of monkeypox. However, what worries experts the most is the high spread of the virus in the population known as "Men who have sex with men" (MSM). These and other public health results were presented by Carlos Jiménez, virologist of the School of Veterinary Medicine (EMV) of the National University (UNA), during the X Annual Meeting of Veterinary Medicine, which had the purpose of updating students and veterinarians on topics of interest in both veterinary medicine and public health.
