Resumen
El carácter y funcionamiento de la institucionalidad al nivel de las agrocadenas es vital para concebir políticas. En este documento se analiza el caso de las Cadenas Agroindustriales de Piña Tropical en Centroamérica, enfocado en la institucionalidad existente en cada uno de los países estudiados, con el objetivo de identificar sus núcleos u Organización Inter Profesionales (OIP) y las características de la red de servicios de apoyo. El análisis se realiza sobre la base del enfoque conceptual de cadenas de valor, en su dimensión institucional, ubicado en el espacio del meso nivel de la cadena. La información para el análisis se basa en fuentes secundarias, análisis bibliográfico y fuentes disponibles en internet. Concluye el documento con un análisis comparativo entre los países de la institucionalidad en sus agrocadenas de piña tropical, en el que se evidencia que con la excepción de Costa Rica, donde la actividad es notoria en las exportaciones, en los otros países la insitucionalidad depende de políticas horizontales, no específicas del sector.
The nature and functioning of agrichains institutionality is essential in policy design. This document analyzes the case of the Agroindustrial Chains of Tropical Pineapple in Central America, focusing on the existing institutionality in each of the countries studied, with the aim of identifying their nuclei or Inter-Professional Organization (IPO) and the characteristics of the network of support services. The analysis is carried out on the basis of the conceptual approach of value chains, in its institutional dimension, located in the space of the meso level of the chain. The information for the analysis is based on secondary sources, bibliographic analysis and sources available on the Internet. The document concludes with a comparative analysis between the countries of the institutionality in their tropical pineapple agrochains, which shows that with the exception of Costa Rica, where the activity is notorious in exports, in other countries the insitutionality depends on horizontal policies, not specific to the sector.
