Sistema Internacional.
Our region has been outside the radar, in political terms, for the administration. The bilateral agenda has been focused on migration and fight against drug trafficking. However, if we see the case of Costa Rica, in commercial terms, between 2007-2017, there have been changes light: commercial relations and bilateral financial institutions are characterized by an export growth towards USA as well as imports; we have varied, yes, the main products, and also foreign direct investment. However, the commercial policy of the President Trump has given a speech protectionist, alleges inconveniences commercial, that the U.S. commercial interest and employability, since the objectives proposed can be reached through bilateral negotiations, which must be renegotiate when goals are missing fulfilling, so it has stimulated concrete and unilateral actions such as revision of NAFTA and, having reached the TMEC, the tariff war with China. But for Central America (CAFTA DR) for now has not had a major revisionist impact, Well, we do not occupy a priority status within the roadmap of the current government. Much remains to be analyzed and expected in this 2020, which will be marked by elections in the United States, which continues to be a hegemonic power of great weight in the (re) definition, (of) construction and (de) consolidation of International system.
