Informe del cuarto taller internacional sobre la ERCnt: grupos de trabajo por país

Abstract

El objetivo general del taller fue discutir el conocimiento y las prioridades científicas, médicas y humanitarias en torno a la ERCnt, al mismo tiempo que sirvió como evento inaugural para una iniciativa más amplia titulada “Implementación de la estrategia para la prevención, mitigación y control de la enfermedad renal crónica de origen no tradicional en Centroamérica y República Dominicana”. Esta iniciativa es una colaboración establecida por SE-COMISCA, CENCAM y SLANH, con financiación de la AECID. Tiene la tarea de desarrollar e implementar un programa educativo en toda Centroamérica y la República Dominicana, dirigido a proveedores de atención médica, funcionarios de salud pública y la población en general, para mejorar la conciencia sobre la ERCnt, ayudar a mitigar los factores de riesgo de la enfermedad y reducir su morbilidad y mortalidad general.The main objective of the workshop was to discuss scientific, medical, and humanitarian knowledge and priorities regarding CKDu, while also serving as the inaugural event for a broader initiative entitled “Implementation of the Strategy for the Prevention, Mitigation, and Control of Chronic Kidney Disease of Non-Traditional Origin in Central America and the Dominican Republic.” This initiative is a collaboration established by SE-COMISCA, CENCAM, and SLANH, with funding from AECID. Its task is to develop and implement an educational program throughout Central America and the Dominican Republic, aimed at healthcare providers, public health officials, and the general population, to raise awareness about CKDu, help mitigate the disease’s risk factors, and reduce its overall morbidity and mortality.
