Abstract
Due to the numerous traffic of people between Europe and the United States, and to the fact that this variant predominates in that continent and is gaining strength in North America, Juan José Romero Zúñiga, epidemiologist at the National University (UNA), anticipated that the delta variant of SARS-CoV-2, originally from India, would circulate in Costa Rica, but with a very low prevalence, for the time being.
