Resumen
El objetivo de estas páginas es reflexionar sobre el
papel del ser humano en su relación con la sociedad
y la naturaleza, a través de la exploración de cuatro
ejes temáticos: la educación ambiental, el desarrollo, la
ciudadanía global y de las alternativas para construir/
mejorar esta relación, considerando principalmente, la
necesidad de reconocer a la persona como un sujeto
capaz de producir el cambio de su propia conciencia
y en la sociedad. La metodología de este ensayo
es cualitativa de tipo explicativa y se fundamenta
en la revisión y análisis de fuentes secundarias. Las
reflexiones apuntan a que en estos tiempos de cambio
ambiental tan profundo, existe una oportunidad
de diseñar una nueva vinculación del papel del ser
humano en el mundo, que incluya la trascendencia del
replanteamiento de los valores en las relaciones que se
establecen con otros seres humanos y la naturaleza. La
conclusión es que solo con una verdadera educación
ambiental, orientada a la creación de la capacidad
reflexiva y crítica de la persona, podremos constituirnos
en seres capaces de producir un nuevo entendimiento
del mundo político, social, cultural y natural, en el que se
construya la dignificación de la persona y la naturaleza.
The objective of these pages is to ponder on the role of human beings in their relationship with society and nature through the exploration of four themes: environmental education, development, global citizenship and the alternatives to build/improve this relationship, considering mainly the need to acknowledge the person as a subject capable of producing change in his or her own conscience and in society. The methodology of this essay is qualitative, explanatory and it is based on the review and analysis of secondary sources. The ponderings point at the fact that in these times of deep environmental change, there is an opportunity to design a new link of the role of humanity in the world that includes the transcendence of the rethinking of the values and the relationships established among humans and with nature. The conclusion is that only through a real environmental education, focused on the creation of thinking and critical capabilities, will we be able to constitute ourselves as beings capable of producing a new understanding of the political, social, cultural and natural world in which a dignifying person and nature can be built.
