Encarrilando el desarrollo económico

Abstract

Desde hace muchos años hemos vivido como Costa Rica adolece de un trasporte público eficiente y también hemos visto como el caos vial ha crecido y particularmente con mayor medida en el Gran Área Metropolitana “GAM”, este caos es una de externalidad negativas, que nos ha afectados durante muchos años a todos, ya sea que nos desplacemos en vehículos particulares o mediante trasporte público. ¿Cómo se explica esta afectación? Muy simple, hay que ver la red vial, como un bien público, en donde, todos los días aumenta la cantidad de vehículos que hacen uso de este bien, saturándose la congestión vehicular y afectándose la red vial e incrementándose, la congestión vehicular, afectándonos con la pérdida de tiempo en las presas, la contaminación ambiental, que repercute en el deterioro de nuestra salud, e indudablemente el costo en términos económicos que esto representa para todos y para el país.

For many years we have lived as Costa Rica suffers from an efficient public transport and we have also seen how the road chaos has grown and particularly to a greater extent in the Greater Metropolitan Area "GAM", this chaos is one of negative externality, which has affected us for many years, whether we are travelling in private vehicles or by public transport. How is this affectation explained? Very simple, you have to see the road network, as a public good, where, every day increases the number of vehicles that make use of this good, saturating vehicle congestion and affecting the road network and increasing, vehicle congestion, affecting us with the loss of time in the dams, the environmental pollution, which affects the deterioration of our health, and undoubtedly the cost in economic terms that this represents for everyone and for the country.
