Ítem Algunos errores en matemática que cometen los estudiantes que ingresan a la universidad(Encuentro Provincial de Educación Matemática) Castillo Sánchez, Mario; Gamboa, Ronny Wilson; Hidalgo Mora, RandallThis document presents some of the errors made by students during the diagnostic test applied by the School of Mathematics of the National University to first-time students at the institution in 2017. From the total number of tests, one was selected random sample of 100 tests. Subsequently, for each item, a choice was made of the tests where the students had carried out some procedure and the answer had been incorrect. Only some errors are presented in this document for the five questions with the lowest percentage of correct answers. Students present errors and difficulties when recognizing and applying concepts related to angles (supplementary, complementary, right, acute), right and acute triangles and absolute value, among others. In addition, they have deficiencies to interpret a situation and express it through a representation or drawing. It is important for the teacher to be aware that the study of errors in mathematics is a source of information to detect not only deficiencies but also to propose strategies aimed at reinforcing mathematical content, both in high school and at university.
