Usury is charging an interest rate on a credit that substantially exceeds its average costs and a normal percentage of profit from the financial industry. Usury generates irreparable damage to the financial consumer since it encourages bankruptcy and the confiscation of assets from users of the financial market who could be solvent at reasonable interest rates
