The church is not just a human experience. Rather, it is the effort of believers in Jesus to unite their purposes, qualities, and gifts to live together. To live in community. In the church, in addition, the deficiency of the people who integrate it is assumed: It is holy because Christ is its Head (Col. and sinful because it is made up of human beings (IG B). The church does not save anyone by itself, it is only an instrument of the Lamb that takes away the sin of the world Salvation comes from Christ Jesus (Eph. 2) and only through Him (Eph. 2,9). The church realizes itself as soon as it assumes the gift of the salvation brought by Jesus. But what do we understand by salvation? Is it an event located beyond space and time? We start from the principle given by Jesus that salvation is already taking place (Lk. 4, 16ff.). What does it mean for the church (laymen and consecrated ministers) to assume the gift of salvation? We also consider that it consists in witnessing in prayer, word and action that Jesus is acting, encouraging, reconciling, comforting, defending ... the poor, weak, suffering, marginalized, exploited ... before the powerful of society: proclaiming the year of the lord's grace.
