¿Hay diferencias significativas entre tratamientos? Primera parte

Abstract

Los investigadores en ciencias de la salud se hacen preguntas como: ¿Se deben las diferencias entre muestras al efecto de los tratamientos?, ¿se deben las diferencias al criterio de clasificación de los grupos, por ejemplo al sexo, grupo edad o etnia?, o simplemente, ¿se deben las diferencias a que las muestras están compuestas por individuos distintos?, dicho de otra manera, ¿se deben las diferencias al azar o son estadísticamente significativas?

Health science researchers ask questions such as: Are the differences between samples due to the effect of the treatments? Are the differences due to the classification criteria of the groups, for example, sex, age group or ethnicity? Or simply, are the differences due to the fact that the samples are composed of different individuals? In other words, are the differences due to chance or are they statistically significant?
