La cultura popular costarricense en la obra cinematográfica Eulalia (1987) de Óscar Castillo

Abstract

El siguiente artículo propone un estudio de la cultura popular costarricense presente en la obra cinematográfica Eulalia (1987) del director Óscar Castillo. Para ello, se toma en consideración la perspectiva teórica latinoamericana de Claudio Malo respecto a la teoría cultural. Por su parte, es fundamental señalar que los elementos de análisis sobre lo popular corresponden a las siguientes facetas: el género, la indumentaria, el argot popular, la música y la religiosidad.

The following article proposes a study of the Costa Rican popular culture present in the cinematographic work of Eulalia (1987) from director Óscar Castillo. For this, the Latin American theoretical perspective of Claudio Malo regarding cultural theory is taken into consideration.
