Para ello, se exploran cuatro áreas específicas: información general, académica, socioeconómica y cognoscitiva. El fin último es conformar un perfil de ingreso del estudiante que sirva como punto de partida para la programación académica, así como para la implementación de acciones evaluativas y de capacitación. Con este propósito, se elaboró y aplicó un cuestionario compuesto por 36 preguntas distribuidas entre las cuatro áreas mencionadas. Dicho instrumento se administró a una muestra de 90 estudiantes de nuevo ingreso, seleccionados de una población total de 169.The central purpose of this research is to determine the most salient characteristics of newly admitted students at the Brunca Regional Campus. To this end, four specific areas are explored: general information, academic background, socioeconomic status, and cognitive skills. The ultimate goal is to create an incoming student profile that will serve as a starting point for academic planning, as well as for the implementation of assessment and training activities. For this purpose, a questionnaire consisting of 36 questions distributed across the four areas mentioned was developed and administered.
