En primer lugar, se estudia la relación entre la construcción del universo ficcional y las condiciones propias de la realidad factual; y en segundo lugar, su discurso irónico y humorístico. Esta obra alude a los hechos políticos acaecidos en Costa Rica entre 1914 y 1919; la elección de Alfredo González Flores como presidente de la República, su derrocamiento por Federico Tinoco Granados y la ulterior caída del régimen dictatorial.This article analyzes two particular aspects of the novel El crimen de Alberto Lobo, by Gonzalo Chacón Trejos. Deeming it historical, the study deals with the link between the construction of the fictional universe and the conditions of factual reality; and secondly, it examines the ironic and satirical discourse present in the novel.
