La investigación busca dar respuesta a la pregunta que establece el problema de estudio: ¿Cuáles acciones debe tomar en cuenta el Centro Cultural Herediano Omar Dengo para desarrollar un proyecto innovador de coworking artístico? La interrogante anterior surge porque a pesar de que el Centro Omar Dengo trabaja en la gestión cultural, no considera proporcionar espacios de trabajo colaborativos (coworking) y desarrollar una estructura financiera donde pueda autosostenerse, generar ingresos que beneficien tanto a los artistas como al Centro e incentivar la economía naranja. Para la realización de esta investigación, se plantea un objetivo general y cuatro objetivos específicos, abarcando las siguientes variables: el abordaje operacional de las empresas de coworking en Costa Rica, la situación financiera actual del Centro Cultural Omar Dengo y el perfil de los usuarios potenciales (artistas) por medio de un estudio de mercado. Así, el objetivo general es formular un estudio financiero con la finalidad de desarrollar un proyecto innovador de coworking artístico en el Centro Cultural Omar Dengo. Además, en la propuesta de esta investigación el objetivo general radica en constituir una propuesta de gestión cultural para el Centro Cultural Omar Dengo de la Municipalidad de Heredia, que contribuya a la Administración del Centro a formular con herramientas financieras y actividades artísticas una proyección de la gestión. Esta investigación se realiza mediante el enfoque mixto, con el fin de obtener resultados objetivos y claros por medio de herramientas como entrevistas a expertos y encuestas, a efectos de análisis. Se concluye en forma general que los artistas poseen pocos espacios adecuados para trabajar por lo que proponer un espacio de coworking con una estructura de gestión financiera eficiente contribuye al fomento de la gestión cultural.In 2017, a research group, under the direction of Kattia Vasconcelos, MSc, conducted a study analyzing a financial proposal for developing an innovative artistic coworking project at the Omar Dengo Cultural Center in the Municipality of Heredia. The research sought to answer the central question: What actions should the Omar Dengo Cultural Center in Heredia take to develop an innovative artistic coworking project? This question arose because, despite the Omar Dengo Center's work in cultural management, it does not currently offer collaborative workspaces (coworking spaces) or develop a financial structure that would allow it to be self-sustaining, generate income to benefit both artists and the Center, and stimulate the creative economy. This research established one general objective and four specific objectives, encompassing the following variables: the operational approach of coworking companies in Costa Rica, the current financial situation of the Omar Dengo Cultural Center, and the profile of potential users (artists) through market research. Thus, the overall objective is to formulate a financial study to develop an innovative artistic coworking project at the Omar Dengo Cultural Center. Furthermore, this research proposal aims to establish a cultural management plan for the Omar Dengo Cultural Center of the Municipality of Heredia, which will help the Center's administration formulate a management projection using financial tools and artistic activities. This research employs a mixed-methods approach to obtain objective and clear results through tools such as expert interviews and surveys for analytical purposes.
