Como parte del proceso, se realizó un diagnóstico de la Región Brunca y un análisis detallado del sector educativo, destacando su relevancia para el desarrollo regional. Asimismo, se describió la capacidad institucional de la Sección Regional en las áreas de docencia, investigación, extensión y administración académica. Finalmente, se establecieron los objetivos y proyectos que conforman el Plan Sexenal.To develop the Six-Year Plan that would guide institutional activities during the period 1985-1990, a special commission was formed, comprised of members of the Regional Section's Governing Council and two invited faculty members. As part of the process, a diagnostic assessment of the Brunca Region and a detailed analysis of the education sector were conducted, highlighting its relevance to regional development. The Regional Section's institutional capacity in the areas of teaching, research, outreach, and academic administration was also described.
