Este trabajo pretende servir de apoyo a los docentes involucrados en el proceso de la enseñanza y el aprendizaje de la Escuela de Secretariado Profesional en los cursos del II ciclo del primer nivel de las carreras de Administración de Oficinas y Educación Comercial, cuyos resultados son producto de una valoración de la efectividad de las estrategias pedagógicas en la situación de enseñanza y aprendizaje para identificar el conjunto de debilidades y fortalezas en el área pedagógica, realizada durante el segundo semestre del año 2006. Mediante la aplicación de diversos instrumentos y técnicas de investigación, se pretende analizar la eficiencia y eficacia de las estrategias pedagógicas utilizadas por los docentes en las carreras que ofrece la Escuela de Secretariado Profesional. Se presenta una valoración final del desempeño en este proceso, tanto del docente como del estudiante. Además, se plantean recomendaciones en pro de la efectividad metodológica de los cursos, con el objetivo de avalar prácticas pedagógicas de comprobada efectividad en la enseñanza y aprendizaje, lo cual redundará en una realimentación y posible validación.The preponderant role of the teacher is the exercise of pedagogy, since it is known that teaching is not only transmitting knowledge, but building it, reconstructing a path of opportunities, experiences of humanization and warning signals for educators, about the consequences of what is done or not done with the students; therefore, this mission of facilitating the formation of people entails the effective application of pedagogical strategies. This work aims to support teachers involved in the teaching and learning process of the Professional Secretarial School in the second cycle courses of the first level of the Office Administration and Commercial Education careers, whose results are the product of an evaluation of the effectiveness of pedagogical strategies in the teaching and learning situation to identify the set of weaknesses and strengths in the pedagogical area, carried out during the second semester of 2006. Through the application of various instruments and research techniques, it is intended to analyze the efficiency and effectiveness of the pedagogical strategies used by teachers in the courses offered by the Professional Secretarial School. A final evaluation of the performance in this process, both of the teacher and the student, is presented.
