Son el reflejo del esfuerzo de personas que se dedican a investigar o construir saberes desde sus diferentes trincheras y buscan publicar para contribuir al ciclo propio de la investigación. Es por ello que estos mecanismos de comunicación han sido receptores de debates y reflexiones para mejorar y enriquecer su quehacer. Uno de los principales debates sobre el cual hemos pretendido establecer esta reflexión propositiva es acerca de la comercialización del saber, la cual genera impedimentos para que las personas puedan comunicar y difundir ese conocimiento. En este capítulo, haremos una reflexión con el objetivo de evidenciar aquellas estrategias implementadas por la UNA-CR para dar sostenibilidad a la gestión, así como para fortalecer las revistas mediante la vía diamante como mecanismo para la democratización del conocimiento, haciendo de Latinoamérica una región pionera de este pensamiento.For more than three hundred years, journals have become the quintessential medium for communicating knowledge (López Riquelme et al., 2024). They reflect the efforts of individuals dedicated to research or constructing knowledge from their various perspectives and seek to publish to contribute to the research cycle itself. For this reason, these communication mechanisms have been the focus of debates and reflections aimed at improving and enriching their work. One of the main debates we have sought to address in this propositional reflection is the commercialization of knowledge, which creates obstacles for people to communicate and disseminate that knowledge.
