West Nile Virus (WNV), Eastern Equine Encephalitis Virus (EEEV), Western Equine Encephalitis Virus (WEEV) and Venezuelan Equine Encephalitis Virus (VEEV) are endemic in the Mesoamerican region and the local appearance of these viruses is regulated by the amount of vectors and reservoirs.
