El estudio examina cómo administran sus recursos económicos, los factores que influyen en sus decisiones financieras, y propone un plan de gestión de finanzas personales. Se identifican problemas como la falta de planificación, el endeudamiento y la dificultad para cubrir necesidades básicas, en un contexto económico desafiante. A través de encuestas, se recopilan datos que permiten diseñar estrategias para mejorar la educación financiera y fomentar decisiones económicas responsables. El trabajo se estructura en seis capítulos que incluyen metodología, marco teórico, análisis, conclusiones, recomendaciones y la propuesta final.This research analyzes the financial management of students from the Omar Dengo and Benjamín Núñez campuses of the National University of Costa Rica during the first semester of 2025. The study examines how they manage their financial resources, the factors that influence their financial decisions, and proposes a personal financial management plan. Problems such as lack of planning, debt, and difficulty covering basic needs are identified in a challenging economic context. Through surveys, data is collected to design strategies to improve financial education and encourage responsible economic decisions.
