Hasta hace poco tiempo dichas actividades estaban centradas en la Dirección de Informática (DI), unidad administrativa perteneciente a la Gerencia División Administrativa de la CCSS. En respuesta a las nuevas exigencias de desarrollo informático requeridas en la CCSS se ha venido trabajando en la desconcentración de la función informática como nueva propuesta para guiar e impulsar el desarrollo informático en la institución.The development that the Costa Rican Social Security Fund (CCSS) has had in the implementation of Information Systems (IS) and the automation of processes is due to efforts developed within the institution, both in the economic and administrative fields. Until recently, these activities were centered on the Information Technology Directorate (DI), an administrative unit belonging to the Administrative Division Management of the CCSS.
