Ello, debido a la importancia de una adecuada administración en los documentos que forman parte del patrimonio cultural costarricense. El objetivo principal del estudio fue analizar la administración documental llevada a cabo en oficinas administrativas de la muestra seleccionada, para determinar si se aplica la Ley 7202 del Sistema Nacional de Archivos. Lo anterior, mediante estudio de campo y cuestionarios aplicados a los encargados de los archivos de gestión, con el propósito de implementar políticas documentales que faciliten la administración documental de los centros educativos involucrados en el estudio. Dicha medida es importante porque las prácticas documentales aplicadas por los administradores de los archivos de gestión en algunos casos no están acordes con los lineamientos emitidos por la Ley 7202 y su Reglamento y los emitidos por el Manual del Archivo Central del Ministerio de Educación Pública. Como se evidencia en el documento, se dificulta a los administradores de los archivos tener claridad en los procedimientos y técnicas en materia de gestión, conservación y transferencia documental entre otros.
