Universidad Nacional, Costa Rica.El resultado más importante obtenido en la investigación, es lograr tener un programa claro del estado actual del servicios de información que el Área presta a sus usuarios, destacando los problemas y necesidades actuales que hacen que el servicio no sea el óptimo. Otro resultado es el desarrollo de una solución a dichos problemas y necesidades, plasmadas en un sistema de información multiusuario que permita la divulgación óptima de la información más importantes que en la actualidad se produce en el Área de Estadísticas y Censos, a través de su Unidad de Servicios de Información y Divulgación Estadística. Dicho sistema permitirá a los usuarios gestionar información estadística de los temas que se procesan en el área, y que corresponden a un número de años definido según la demanda de información y las capacidades de almacenamiento para mantener accesible la misma. La información se ofrecerá con la ayuda de interfaces gráficas amigables y con facilidades para que pueda ser adquirida en forma visual, de reportes en papel o por medio de archivos de diskette.The most important result obtained in the research is to have a clear program of the current status of the information services that the Area provides to its users, highlighting the current problems and needs that make the service not optimal. Another result is the development of a solution to these problems and needs, embodied in a multi-user information system that allows optimal dissemination of the most important information currently produced in the Statistics and Census Area, through its Unit Information Services and Statistical Disclosure. This system will allow users to manage statistical information on the issues that are processed in the area, and that correspond to a number of years defined according to the demand for information and the storage capacities to keep it accessible.
