El proyecto de implementación de la UIDE-OVSICORI se hizo estudiando la situación de infraestructura, recursos tecnológicos, recursos documentales, recursos financieros, recursos humanos y necesidades de los usuarios, lo que permitió hacer un diagnóstico y elaborar una propuesta. Por otra parte, el trabajo de investigación permitió sistematizar la información que se encontraba en el depósito del OVSICORI-UNA, utilizando normas internacionales empleadas por el Sistema Bibliotecario de la Universidad Nacional, -de ahora en adelante SIBUNA, para la clasificación, catalogación y análisis de la información.This final graduation work consisted of implementing a Documentary Information Unit Specialized in volcanology and seismology for the Volcanological and Seismological Observatory of the National University, hereinafter UIDE-OVSICORI. The implementation project of the UIDE-OVSICORI was made by studying the situation of infrastructure, technological resources, documentary resources, financial resources, human resources and user needs, which allowed to make a diagnosis and develop a proposal.
