Igualmente se presenta la tesis de que la Sociedad Costarricense de hoy tiende a materializarse en sus relaciones como una sociedad yuxtapuesta y paralela, dado los mayores grado de diferenciación sociocultural y económica. Para ubicar mejor las propuestas anteriores, se desarrolla una síntesis teórico-interpretativa de la dinámica estatal y social costarricense en las ultimas cinco décadas, enfatizando las coyunturas en los momentos mas relevantes del periodo.This article poses the hypothesis that at the present time, contrary to the situation before the 1980's, the balance of forces between State and Society has tipped in favour of civil society as a result of transformations in real social dynamics. It also postulates that Costa Rican society today tends to express itself in juxtaposed and parallel relationships, arising from a greater degree of socio-cultural and economic differentiation.
