Aporta algunos juicios críticos respecto al debate actual sobre desarrollo.This article presents a synthesis of the main discourses on progress and development, to contextualize and characterize the current debate on sustainable human development, analyzes the contributions that human rights make to the debate on development, summarizes the social and environmental problems that the population currently suffers, and concludes with a discussion on the limits and contributions of the discourses on development and human rights in relation to the characterization of social and environmental challenges.
