Esta guía contribuirá a la disminución de las averías del servicio eléctrico ocasionadas por el contacto con árboles y ramas. Se seleccionaron seis parcelas de muestreo, cada una con dimensiones de 10 metros de ancho por 30 metros de largo, ubicadas entre las comunidades. En estas parcelas, se identificaron las especies de plantas leñosas con un diámetro mayor a cinco centímetros. El propósito es identificar las especies de árboles más frecuentes en la zona y recopilar datos iniciales sobre su tasa de crecimiento en altura y diámetro. De estas parcelas, cinco se mantendrán para realizar mediciones periódicas en el futuro. Con base en la información recopilada, se propone una guía que orientará a los técnicos en los procedimientos necesarios para el manejo de la vegetación, teniendo en cuenta aspectos legales, administrativos y técnicos.A guide is being developed for the management of vegetation under the electrical network in the ICE administration, in a stretch that goes from Chacarita to Santa Cecilia de Osa. This guide will contribute to the reduction of electrical service failures caused by contact with trees and branches. Six sampling plots were selected, each measuring 10 meters wide by 30 meters long, located between the communities. In these plots, woody plant species with a diameter greater than five centimeters were identified. The purpose is to identify the most frequent tree species in the area and to collect initial data on their growth rate in height and diameter.
