La figura del expresidente rememora no solamente episodios de la historia política del país, sino que convoca a investigar sobre la provincia, sus culturas, sus paisajes, sus memorias y las oportunidades que pueden ser abiertas mediante iniciativas de turismo histórico, educativo y sociocultural. Es la ventana para que las nuevas generaciones, los estudiantes, los turistas y los ciudadanos en general aprendan de manera creativa en torno a la historia de Heredia, sus familias y el patrimonio biocultural que caracteriza a la provincia.This essay addresses the challenges involved in creating a cultural itinerary based on accounts, memories, and stories related to the former president of Costa Rica, Alfredo González Flores, who governed from 1914 to 1917. The figure of the former president not only recalls episodes from the country's political history, but also encourages research into the province, its cultures, its landscapes, its memories, and the opportunities that can be opened up through historical, educational, and sociocultural tourism initiatives.
