También se tomaron en cuenta para su elaboración el Plan Global Institucional 2004-2011 de la Universidad Nacional, el Plan Nacional de la Educación Superior Estatal 2006-2010 elaborado por CONARE, el Plan Estratégico para el Fortalecimiento del Sistema de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación a nivel local y regional, elaborado por CORECIT-Brunca, etc. Además se integró a toda la comunidad universitaria mediante comisiones formadas por el personal de las diferentes departamentos, áreas o direcciones para - académicas.This strategic plan sets out the institution's academic agenda for the next four years.
